We are climate neutral.
We are a climate-neutral company. All our foam rollers and fascia balls made of the material EPP are climate neutral as well. This is part of our responsibility journey: to make our contribution as a brand and support the goals of the Paris Agreement. Our ultimate goal is to reduce emissions in the future and, where possible, to avoid them altogether. Wherever this is not possible (e.g. production, logistics, office), we offset our emissions through climate protection projects. But from the beginning...
ClimatePartner, one of the world's leading independent experts in climate protection, accompanied and advised us on the path to climate neutrality. The starting point for climate protection measures is firstly the balancing of CO2 emissions according to the Greenhouse Gas Standard (Scope 1, 2 and 3). To put it more simply: together with ClimatePartner, we calculated the CO2 footprint of our company and all our products. This also includes all upstream and downstream emissions, e.g. purchased materials, disposal of products or shipping. We pored over documents, interviewed employees, recorded the electricity consumption of our business premises, checked how often and how long our business cars were on the road - and much more. Wow!
We offset 644,033 kg CO2e.
We cannot reverse the emissions of the past years and we will continue to cause unavoidable emissions (e.g. through production, packaging or transport) in the future. Offsetting emissions is therefore an important step for us in holistic climate protection. We offset our corporate footprint (of all our offices) and the emissions generated in the production of our fascia rolls and balls. This means: offsetting all emissions along the value chain starting with materials, production, up to logistics. We did so by supporting internationally recognised and certified climate protection projects and compensating a total of 644,033 kg CO2e.
Our CO2 emissions correspond to 2,000,114 km by car - and thus 50 circumnavigations of the earth. Or an annual CO2 footprint of 74 Europeans (Source: ClimatePartner).

We offset all emissions caused by our foam rollers and balls through the Plastic Bank project. Over 8 million tonnes of plastic waste end up in the sea every year. Especially in developing countries, the infrastructure for proper disposal is often lacking. Stopping the plastic flood and improving the lives of the collecting communities at the same time - this is the approach of the Plastic Bank. Some of our products are also based on plastic. This is precisely why we have chosen this project. We are aware of the plastic problem - especially when there is no concept for a circular economy and waste ends up in the environment. You can read about what we ourselves are doing to further optimise our products made of the plastic EPP here. Back to Plastic Bank - how does it actually work? In Haiti, Indonesia, Brazil and the Philippines, local residents collect plastic waste. At collection points, they can exchange it for money, food, drinking water or school fees. The collected plastic is recycled and turned into so-called social plastic, which serves as raw material for new products. Plastic Bank is a linkage project: CO2 is offset via a Gold Standard climate protection project, the wind farm in the Philippines. For every tonne of CO2 offset, 10kg of plastic waste is collected.
Wind energy. Project 1138.
We offset the emissions for our company (corporate carbon footprint) via a climate protection project in Brazil. The project involves the construction and operation of 14 wind farms in the states of Piauí and Pernambuco in north-eastern Brazil. The renewable electricity supplied by the project to the Brazilian grid makes an important contribution to sustainability and the reduction of emissions. This is because without the project, electricity generation would be based on fossil fuels. In addition to supplying sustainably generated, renewable energy, the project makes important contributions to the socio-economic and ecological development of one of Brazil's poorest regions.

...and where do we go from here?
It is not our ultimate goal to be climate neutral. Because let's be honest: it is right and important that we offset our CO2 emissions through climate protection projects. But offsetting alone is not enough. Ultimately, it is better to reduce emissions further - or, where possible, to avoid them altogether. For example, we want to further increase the proportion of recycled material in our EPP products, have eliminated plastic packaging where possible and continue to use climate-neutral cardboard boxes made from recycled material. We also use green electricity in our office.We are currently continuing to work on our climate protection strategy and are developing further concrete steps to reduce emissions, which we will then be happy to share with you.
